Heat from electricity

It is the job of many househald items to transform electrical energy, that is electric current, in heat. Whether we use a blowdryer, a toaster or an electric stove: this transformation is useful. Sometimes, however, this transformation is an unwished side-effect, for example with lightbulbs or with notebooks or tablets.
