Uplift

When a corpus is dipped into a liquid (see picture on the left) the pressure on its lower side is higher than the pressure on its upper side. This pressure difference happens because the two ends of the corpus are in different depths of the liquid (h1 and h2). (h₁ und h₂ ).

The vertical Force F₁ is smaller than the opposite force F₂. The difference between F₂ and F₁ is called Uplift (F_A ).
