Uplift

The uplift depends on the volume (V ) of the corpus and the density of the liquid ( ρ ) und berechnet sich mit der Formel:

Gravity (G )is acting against the uplift F_A (see picture below).

• If F_A < G, the corpus sinks.
  
• If F_A > G, the corpus rises.
  
• If F_A = G, there are two possible results:
  
  • If the corpus and the liquid are equally dense, the corpus will float in the liquid.
  • If the corpus is less dense than the liquid, if will float on the surface.
