The magical spiral

How is that possible?

a) The flame extinguishes because the wire prevents oxygen from reaching the flame. Therefore, the wax cannot burn. Once the wire is pulled away enough oxygen can reach the candle again.

b) The flame extinguishes because the temperature is transported from the flame to the spiral. Therefore, the wax cannot burn.

c) The flame extinguishes because the cold metal pulls away the heat from the candle. Therefore, the wax cannot burn. Once the spiral is pulled away, the heat is enough to burn the wax.

d) The flamee extinguishes because the metal transpports heat very well: The metal spiral emits a lot of energy the wax cannot burn. Once the spiral is pulled away, the energy is enough to inflame the candle.
