Summs of vectorial quantities

When adding the vectors graphically they are aligned. However, their direction remains the same. The resulting vector (red arrow below) connects the beginning of the first vector and the end of the second vector. (see animation below)

It's very easy if the vectors point in the same direction. (see animation below)
