Juice defies gravity

Think about how you can explain what you just saw and experienced.
Which of the following utterances is correct? (Click on the correct answer.)
- a) The cardboard shields gravity so that it cannot affect the juice.
- b) Through the outside air pressure, the cardboard is pressed against the glass. Therefore the juice cannot get out.
- c) The cardboard is a little bit wet from the juice and therefore glued to the rim of the glass just like for example a wet paper is glued to a glass window.
*Of course, this experiment also works with different kinds of liquid. We used juice because it is easier to observe than plain water.
