Vectorial quantities

A vectorial quantity is defined by its numerical value, its unit and its direction.

Examples for vectorial qunatities are force and velocity.

Vectors are labelled with an arrow above the formula symbol.

Vectors are depicted with th help of arrows. The length of this arrow depends on the norm of the vector. (the greater the norm of a vector the longer the arrow). The direction of the arrow shows the direction of the vector.
