The Characteristic Curve

Voltage Amperage
0 V 0 A
2 V 0,4 A
4 V 0,8 A
6 V 1,2 A
8 V 1,6 A
As you probably already know, Ohm's Law tells us that voltage U rises proportionally to amperage I. As a short form we can write U ∼ I.

Before we take a closer look at the light bulb, we first want to draw the U-I-curve of an ohmic resistance.

Download this template and print it. In this coordinate system you now plot a point for each pair of values of the table and connect those points. What can you see and what does that mean?
