Duel between lamps

Two lamps are switched in series and connected with a bettery. The current of the battery first transits the right light bulb, then flows back to the battery through the left light bulb on the blue mounting.

Roll your mouse over the picture to see in which direction the current is moving in the circuit.

Zwei in Reihe geschaltete Glühlampen gleicher Größe, von denen die etwas länglichere deutlich heller leuchtet.

The oblong light bulb (on the right on the wooden mounting) shines brighter apparently.

What do you think, what will happen, if the light bulbs are exchanged now and the oblong light bulb on the left is inserted in the blue mounting?
