Protection in thunderstorms

If you are in the open, it's best if you look for a depression in the landscape and if you crouch down there with closed feet and wait until the thunderstorm
has passed.
Further helpful advice in a thunderstorm:
- You are perfectly safe in a car. Its car body functions like a Faraday Cage.
- You are also safe in buildings, especially inside buildings with a lightning rod.
- If a thunderstorm approaches while you are swimming, leave the water (the pool, the lake or sea) immediately and seek shelter.
