The deeper the balloon is dipped into the water, the stronger it is compressed. By the compressing of the balloon, the dyed liquid substance in the glass tube rises higher and higher. If the dyed liquid substance is wanted to flow back into the balloon, the balloon has to emerge in the direction of the water surface.
