If you imagine one red and one green dot on the hour hand, you will recognize that the trajectory velocity of the red dot is higher than the trajectory velocity of the green one.

During the same period of time, the red dot covered a larger distance. The red dot moves in a larger circle.

The farther away the dot is from the centre of rotation, the higher its trajectory velocity is.
